The KRS San Saga Project

San Saga is Old Swedish for True History.

The Kensington Runestone was discovered in 1898 inscribed with a message in medieval Scandinavian runes and dated 1362. Since then, the Kensington Runestone has been alternately considered a hoax or evidence of early European presence in North America. It has also been the focus of a “re visioning” of history based on bad science and wild speculation. The truth is much more interesting.

The KRS San Saga project focuses on the true history of the Kensington Runestone; the early researchers, the regional impact of the controversial find, and the new research that, like most good research, creates more questions about the mystery that is the Kensington Runestone .
